Unlike traditional wedges, the patent-pending CFI adjustable leg positioner serves as many wedges in one providing infinite positioning angles for the patient. It can not only lay flat but is equipped with Velcro straps allowing the user to secure the part at the exact angle needed for maximum pressure relief on the lower back.
“The use of this part expands beyond the imaging suite and into home use,” says CFI president Mike Czop. “Anybody with lower back pain can appreciate the relief that comes from a proper knee bolster and one that maintains its shape.”
The positioner offers the fluid and stain resistance of traditional coated foam wedges with the added benefit of allowing the tech to quickly and precisely position the subject’s legs for a comfortable and accurate CT scan.
Currently, the CFI adjustable leg positioner is in use at more than 100 hospitals and imaging centers around the United States. For more details, including pricing and ordering information, please see our online catalog.
